Elise - no actually it's smoked trout, which my Mum brought over from France! Please tell husband it was not gross, far from it... ;o)!! It's one of my very favourite foods, so delicate and intense in flavour; yum yum.
Ah, there's nothing quite as delicious as carefully prepared food. This is a beautiful-looking meal on a beautiful table. Yum!
