Re-assessing priorities: In the Secret

I have much to say on this and will not linger here for now.
The Lord is slowly, patiently, graciously teaching me to reassess what is really important, what should be at the top of my list of priorities. And I just want to share that, through some of you who visit here from time to time, God has been speaking to me loud and clear! For that, I am so grateful, to Him, and to you :)
I am learning to rest, take time to be quiet, and alone with Him. "For your heavenly Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you" (Matthew 6) ... I know that, in context, this is about giving, praying, fasting; but more than that, it is about what goes on in the heart.
I love that I can have a secret, and Sacred, love 'affair' with my Creator! Of course that is only the start, for my light then has to be put 'on a stand', for all to see..."Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house".(Matthew 5)
And so, thus are my priorities being realigned, and in this way is my heart being united: God is my first love, and my heavenly 'lover'... Mark is my second love, and my earthly 'lover'. My kids come next, and then 'the rest of the world'!
I will write more on this soon, I promise; however, if you don't hear from me for a while, you'll understand that blogging is one of those activities which belong to 'the rest of the world'. And that other things must come first.
